Due to recent art theft of our work, our terms of use page has been updated.
Adopting
All dolls and bases created by the Silindor team, Megilhirile, Lithriel, and Galadnilien, are copyrighted to them. We hereby claim that our dolls are NOT in the public domain.
You may adopt a doll only if labled "adoptable". What does "adoptable" mean? This means we, the silindor team, hereby give you limited rights to display the doll "as is" with a proper link crediting silindor.com RIGHT next to the doll or by linking the image directly to silindor.com. What does "not adoptable" mean? It means we, the creators of the doll, do not give you permission to redistribute our work. IF YOU CHANGE AN ADOPTABLE DOLL IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM (this INCLUDES making the doll a blinkie) or if you adopt a doll that is NOT labled adoptable , YOU ARE VIOLATING COPYRIGHT LAWS and if caught you ARE liable to be sued and/or prosecuted to the fullest exent of the law.
Do not use ANY of our dolls (even if labeled adoptable) in your layouts, blends, or graphics, display them as avatars or in signatures in forums, collect them in your photobucket account, or in any way not designated here in the terms of use page. If you cannot put the link to our website right next to our doll, then do not adopt it. Saving an unadoptable Silindor doll to your photobucket account is redistrubiting copyrighted artwork which is not in the public domiain and therefore IS violating copyright law.
Dolls not belonging to a team member belong to the creator of that doll as stated. To adopt one of these dolls seek the permission of the doll creator.
If someone else's submited or adopted doll is stolen by someone off of this site, Silindor is in no way, shape or form responsible, understand that you take this risk when you submit or list a doll as "adoptable".
Using our Bases
We allow people to use our bases for the creation of dolls. They are not to be used like stock photography in your artwork or blends. They are NOT to be redistributed online (with one exception listed below). When using a Silindor base please provide a link back to Silindor showing that this is where you got the base from. We allow all edits on our bases for the purpose of creating dolls. We also allow our bases to be used in layouts provided they have ben altered to create a doll. We also allow people who have retired bases to continue to use them. Do not redistribute our bases unless Silindor is no longer online- this includes giving retired bases to someone who wants them. Also please do not use our bases in dollmakers. You MAY use the color pallettes from our bases in your own work in whatever fashion you please.
When using one of our bases you do not need to email a member of the team for permission, just provide a link back. We would love to see your dolls so post a link to them in our tag board sometime!
Submitting a Doll
If you submit a doll for publication on the Silindor site, understand that you are giving permission to the Silindor team to post your work. The Silindor team can choose which works are posted and which ones are not, depending on the content appropriateness. Rules While Using Our Site
Please do not steal other peoples dolls, no frankendolling, no cruel, offensive, or otherwise un-nice comments or attitudes towards other Silindor users. We appreciate your devotion to dolling and the Silindor site, so have fun while you are here!
